PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eldos Larvis (ranked 4480 p4p, 4540 weight class) and Test Sixteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixteen shoots in looking for a takedown. Larvis tries to sprawl out of it but Sixteen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Larvis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sixteen tries to clinch but Larvis moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Larvis on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Sixteen moves into the clinch successfully.
Sixteen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Larvis prevents it.
Sixteen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Larvis has Sixteen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Larvis pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sixteen tumbling to the mat - Larvis dives into Sixteen's guard.
Larvis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Larvis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sixteen, up you get!
Larvis moves out of range as Sixteen strikes.
Larvis throws a big counter combination but Sixteen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Larvis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Larvis.
Sixteen bucks up and tries to throw Larvis off but instead Larvis has got his back!

Larvis is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Sixteen taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Larvis.
