Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Heard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Ferreira!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Heard is fending him off so far but Ferreira persists. Nope, Heard circles away and we're back to standing.
Heard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ferreira but Ferreira pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ferreira rushes Heard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Heard is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ferreira is defending well.
Heard pulls guard.
Ferreira trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ferreira postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ferreira takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ferreira moves in looking to clinch but Heard pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferreira looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Heard prevents the takedown attempt.
Ferreira has Heard pressed against the cage, preventing Heard from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Come on Ferreira - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Heard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Heard shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ferreira napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ferreira bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Heard is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Heard shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ferreira is trying to defend but Heard finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ferreira flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Ferreira wants to control but Heard is keeping busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heard with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Ferreira wants to improve his position but Heard is controlling well.

Heard closes the distance and clinches up with Ferreira, looking for a takedown. Heard pushes Ferreira against the cage but Ferreira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Heard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ferreira shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ferreira closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Heard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferreira swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heard has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ferreira to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Heard is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ferreira pulls down on the head and he's put Heard to sleep! This one is all over!
