The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Rolf misses.
Jakob Rolf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rolf looks to land a right hand but Carruthers moved out of range.
Carruthers looks to score with a jab to the body but Rolf is just out of range.
Rolf feints the counter takedown.
Carruthers lands with a hook. Rolf tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rolf throws a body shot but no joy.
Carruthers keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rolf darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Rolf seems content to control.
Rolf wants to work for an arm triangle but Carruthers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rolf seems to be working for a kimura but Carruthers defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rolf frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Rolf takes Carruthers's back.
Rolf is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Carruthers knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Carruthers for a finish.

Rolf is persistently looking for the submission but Carruthers is defending it well.

Rolf working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Carruthers is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Rolf has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Carruthers taps out!
