Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christ Benoit (ranked 2455 p4p, 5215 weight class) and Social Justice Warrior (ranked 330 p4p, 574 weight class). Benoit comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing Grace. Christ Benoit has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Benoit lands a nice looking body shot.
Benoit throws a push kick but Warrior slaps the foot to one side.
Warrior checks a low kick from Benoit.
Warrior on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Warrior fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Warrior checks a low kick from Benoit.
Warrior appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Benoit lands a nice hook to Warrior's body. Warrior takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Benoit wants to land a leg kick but Warrior is out of range.
Warrior tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Benoit misses with a looping right.
Benoit has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Marijuana Gardens in the buildup to the fight.

Warrior takes a swing at Benoit's ribcage but misses.
Warrior on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Benoit looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Benoit throws an off balance right hand
and Warrior counters with a left to the body.
Benoit stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Warrior has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Benoit.
Benoit throws a low kick but Warrior moves out of range easily.

and Warrior counters with a body kick.

Christ Benoit is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Donk. Benoit catches Warrior right on the button with a cross.
Benoit misses with a body shot.
Benoit throws a body punch but Warrior moves out of range.
Warrior only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Warrior misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Benoit checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

As Warrior backs away, Benoit returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Warrior throws a low kick but Benoit avoids it.
Warrior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Benoit tries to avoid it but Warrior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Benoit to the ground. Benoit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Warrior takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A nice leg kick lands there from Benoit.
Warrior throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Benoit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Christ Benoit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warrior misses with a kick to the body.
Benoit quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Warrior takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Benoit checks the leg kick nicely there.
Benoit misses the jab.
Benoit lands a glancing blow to the side of Warrior's head.

Benoit feints and then cracks Warrior's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Warrior down.
Benoit misses with a straight right.
Warrior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Benoit's waist but Benoit gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Warrior off to one side.
Christ Benoit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Social Justice Warrior.
Benoit scores with the left hand. Warrior knows he should have avoided that one.

Warrior is rocked!
Benoit fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Warrior manages to avoid it.
Benoit connects with an inside leg kick.
Nice body punch from Benoit.
Benoit tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Warrior was well out of range. Poor timing from Benoit.
Warrior throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Benoit takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Warrior is still on wobbly legs! Can Benoit finish him?
Benoit throws a quick inside leg kick.
Benoit circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Warrior to the canvas! Warrior doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Benoit keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
