The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bolt pinned against the cage. Bolt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bolt throws a poor cross that misses

and Thai counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Thai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Bolt is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thai is aware though and is defending well.

Bolt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Thai has gone for a leg lock! Bolt slips out almost immediately though and dives into Thai's guard.

Derwent Bolt opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
