Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudenko Kyrylenko (ranked 5390 p4p, 5172 weight class) and Ivo Zaikov (ranked 579 p4p, 570 weight class). Ivo Zaikov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudenko Kyrylenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivo Zaikov! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zaikov pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kyrylenko clinches. Kyrylenko manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Zaikov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kyrylenko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kyrylenko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Zaikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Kyrylenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kyrylenko working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Zaikov. Zaikov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kyrylenko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kyrylenko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Zaikov wants to control from the top but Kyrylenko keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kyrylenko throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Zaikov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kyrylenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zaikov has managed to get both his arms back between Kyrylenko's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyrylenko wants to sweep here but Zaikov controlling him for the moment. Kyrylenko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zaikov is aware though and is defending well. Kyrylenko looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kyrylenko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kyrylenko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zaikov defends it easily. Kyrylenko looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zaikov working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kyrylenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zaikov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kyrylenko looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kyrylenko has his foot on Zaikov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zaikov works his way back into a safe position though. Kyrylenko looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Zaikov is defending well. Kyrylenko quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Zaikov has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kyrylenko celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rudenko Kyrylenko! Rudenko Kyrylenko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
