Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alek Gimble (ranked 5296 p4p, 4234 weight class) and Bronson Lowrey (ranked 396 p4p, 365 weight class). Lowrey has chosen Little Big - Skibidi as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bronson Lowrey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Alek Gimble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bronson Lowrey!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gimble looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lowrey wants to get back to full guard.
Gimble passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lowrey!

Gimble is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lowrey wants to get up but he can't break Gimble's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lowrey lands a nice short elbow.
Gimble is looking to get back to is feet but Lowrey passes into side control.

Lowrey has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Gimble is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gimble looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lowrey wants to control the pace but Gimble is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big left from Gimble misses.
A jab from Gimble misses.
Lowrey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gimble defends it nicely.
Gimble lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gimble scores with a nice head shot.
Gimble throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A swing and a miss from Gimble.
Lowrey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gimble bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Gimble thuds a left hand into Lowrey's body.
A jab from Gimble misses.
Gimble scores with a sloppy right hand. Lowrey should have avoided that one.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alek Gimble dominated that round.
That's time! Gimble's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lowrey or perhaps it was just good defense by Gimble, which made it look bad.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lowrey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gimble. That's going to slow Lowrey down.
Lowrey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gimble sprawls well. Gimble wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lowrey gets slowly back to his feet.
Lowrey closes the distance and clinches up with Gimble, looking for a takedown. Lowrey pushes Gimble against the cage but Gimble circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Alek Gimble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bronson Lowrey.
Gimble misses with a looping left.
Gimble connects with a crisp jab.
Alek Gimble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gimble clobbers Lowrey with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gimble works over Lowrey's head and body with a nice combination.

Lowrey shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gimble as he avoids it easily.
Bronson Lowrey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lowrey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gimble.
Lowrey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Gimble is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Lowrey wants to clinch up but Gimble keeps it at a distance.

Lowrey is rocked!
Crack! Gimble connects with the perfect overhand right and Lowrey falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Gimble!
