Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Winters (ranked 3735 p4p, 6676 weight class) and Tyson Fury (ranked 385 p4p, 558 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Winters might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Avatar - Colossus. Tyson Fury has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerome Winters! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Fury! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winters fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fury. Winters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fury ducks under a wild hook from Winters. Fury wants to counter the offense by Winters and move into the clinch position. Winters throws a sloppy head kick and Fury counters with a nice uppercut. Fury throws a low kick but Winters avoids it. Fury misses with a low kick. Winters swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Winters slips a jab and a cross from Fury.
A head kick misses from Winters. Fury changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Winters throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fury. We've been told by Winters's head coaches at Canucks Combat Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Winters shoots in and drives through. Fury sprawls well. Winters clinches up with Fury and pushes him back against the cage. Fury tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Winters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Winters tries to bum rush Fury with a series of wild strikes but Fury uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Winters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fury tries to avoid it but Winters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fury to the ground. Fury escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Winters swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fury counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winters throws a right hand that Fury ducks under and follows up with a left that Fury also avoids with ease. Jerome Winters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fury instigates a clinch. Winters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Winters lands a nice looking body kick. Winters drives through and clinches with Fury against the cage.
Winters is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Winters wants to sweep but no luck. Winters working for a triangle but Fury defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Winters is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Winters is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fury is aware though and is defending well. Fury trying to control but Winters is working from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Winters holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winters fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fury, pushing him back against the cage. Winters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fury moves in looking to clinch but Winters pushes him off. Winters is looking for a counter combo. Winters throws a body punch but Fury moves out of range. Fury misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Winters obliges. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Winters as Fury tries to tie him up. Winters breaks from the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Winters moves into range and clinches up with Fury. Winters breaks from the clinch.

Fury wants to counter with a clinch but Winters pushes him away. Winters scores with a jab to the body. Fury throws a head kick that misses and Winters counters by moving into the clinch. Winters manages to pull guard.

Jerome Winters dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Winters throws a right and a left that both miss. Winters gets a clinch. Fury tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Winters is struggling to control the position. Fury takes a shot to the head. Winters crunches a lovely knee into Fury's ribcage. Winters lands an elbow inside that Fury shrugs off. We've been informed that Fury has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Winters breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fury misses with a low kick.

Winters has Fury pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fury manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Fury is breathing heavily. Fury is trying to break the clinch but Winters is controlling him. Winters is trying to trip Fury. He has hold of a leg but Fury is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Winters persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fury is working an open guard so Winters takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Winters with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Fury to counter with a crisp jab. Fury walks into a stiff left hand from Winters.
It looks like Tyson Fury has been cut. Winters tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fury defends well and Winters ends up having to push Fury into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerome Winters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fury gets underhooks to prevent Winters's takedown attempt.

Fury manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Winters throws a nice head kick!

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Winters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fury swivels though and keeps the full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fury looking to control but Winters passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fury has a hand on Winters's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Winters takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Winters lands a big elbow. Winters looking to control and managing it successfully. Fury wants to control but Winters is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fury is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winters scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Fury?

Fury is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Fury tries to control Winters's body but Winters pushes him off. Fury squirms to his side and now Winters has his back! Fury is still in real trouble! Can Winters finish him? Fury won't enjoy being in this position. Winters looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Fury is tapping - it's over boys! Winters picks up the submission victory!

Our winner, Jerome Winters, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
