The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Fagan has his foot on Caldeira's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Caldeira works his way back into a safe position though.

We've been hearing good reports from Fagan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Caldeira content to control rather than advance.

Caldeira is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fagan is just riding it out for now. Caldeira eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fagan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caldeira is working away from the top position though.

Caldeira seems to be working for a kimura but Fagan defends the submission attempt.
Caldeira seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fagan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fagan tries to roll over but Caldeira keeps him under control.
Caldeira is pressing down on Fagan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fagan is holding on for now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Caldeira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fagan is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Caldeira rolls with it to try and escape but Fagan cranks on the arm and Caldeira is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
