Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Morris Day (ranked 21719 p4p, 3899 weight class) and Miguel Machin (ranked 515 p4p, 345 weight class). Machin has chosen Pandora's Music Box as his entrance music. Miguel Machin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morris Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Miguel Machin! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Machin's guard. Machin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Day with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Day throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Day is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Machin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Day. Day loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Day is fighting to break Machin's control of his arms but Machin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Day has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Day throws a strike but Machin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Day has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Machin has managed to get both his arms back between Day's legs - danger averted. Machin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Day's guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Day looking for submissions off his back. Machin trying to control from half guard but Day is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Day tries to get to full guard but Machin has control of the leg. Machin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Day is just riding it out for now. Machin eventually gives up the hold. Day looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Machin pushes past his half guard into mount! Day manages to regain half guard. Good work. Day won't allow Machin to pass to mount. Machin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Day sees it coming and defends easily. Machin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Day looking for submissions off his back. Machin wants to work for an arm triangle but Day is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Day is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Machin pulls his head out easily. Machin wants to take a breather but Day is having none of it. Day looking for submissions off his back. Day is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Machin seems to be looking for submissions.
Day is refusing to be controlled, as Machin sits in half guard. Day slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Day has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Machin should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Day has tightened it up now! Machin should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
