Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Von Stein (ranked 23500 p4p, 3371 weight class) and Riyu Mendes (ranked 671 p4p, 431 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xavier Von Stein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Riyu Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes misses with a kick to the body.
Mendes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Von Stein throws a big shot that misses.

Mendes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Mendes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Xavier Von Stein has been cut.
Von Stein scores with a jab. Mendes acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Von Stein looks to land a right hand but Mendes moved out of range.
Von Stein lunges at Mendes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mendes's hand.
The crowd cheers as Von Stein lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mendes doesn't seem phased though.
Xavier Von Stein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No joy there for Von Stein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mendes has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Von Stein doesn't defend quickly enough and Mendes has managed to lock this one up! Can Von Stein escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mendes on a fantastic submission victory.
