Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 937 p4p, 2592 weight class) and Muggy Mugshot (ranked 114 p4p, 275 weight class). Muggy Mugshot told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 41 - 63 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Muggy Mugshot! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping leg kick lands for Mugshot.
Mugshot misses with a wild body shot. Eikmeyer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Mugshot moves into the clinch. Eikmeyer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mugshot tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Eikmeyer is trying to drag Mugshot to the mat but Mugshot just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Mugshot wants to break free but Eikmeyer has control.
Mugshot can't break the clinch.

Mugshot should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Eikmeyer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mugshot swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Eikmeyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mugshot is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Eikmeyer. Eikmeyer throwing a counter right hand but Mugshot manages to avoid it. A big left from Mugshot misses. Mugshot has taken the fight to the clinch.
Eikmeyer gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mugshot wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eikmeyer is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eikmeyer stops Mugshot from getting back to his feet.
Eikmeyer maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mugshot could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Eikmeyer has cracked it and Mugshot is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Eikmeyer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mario Eikmeyer! In his post fight interview, Mario Eikmeyer started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
