Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Hegstrand (ranked 4429 p4p, 4363 weight class) and Aleksi Bodom (ranked 212 p4p, 208 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Hegstrand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aleksi Bodom! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bodom wants to clinch. Bodom is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hegstrand. Bodom misses with a straight right. Bodom tries to clinch up. Hegstrand wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Hegstrand ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bodom throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. As Bodom tries to get set, Hegstrand tries to push him back and clinch up but Bodom manages to avoid the attempt. Bodom swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bodom throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hegstrand lands with a shot to the body. Bodom tries to clinch up but Hegstrand circles away and keeps his distance. Bodom checks a leg kick nicely. A punch lands to the side of Bodom 's head but he takes it in his stride. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bodom throws a lazy right hand but Hegstrand sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bodom misses with a straight left. Bodom misses with a hook
and Hegstrand counters with a nice uppercut. Bodom tries to clinch there but Hegstrand circles away.

Bodom lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bodom tries to clinch up. Hegstrand closes the distance and clinches. Hegstrand tries to throw a body punch but Bodom avoids it by throwing Hegstrand back against the cage. Hegstrand working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Bodom is trying to pull guard but Hegstrand turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Bodom manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bodom working for a triangle but Hegstrand defends it easily.
Hegstrand slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bodom is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bodom has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hegstrand should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bodom has tightened it up now! Hegstrand should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
