Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Silva (ranked 4446 p4p, 6474 weight class) and Luis Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Santos!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Santos counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Santos performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Santos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva is looking to escape.
Silva tries to get to full guard but Santos has control of the leg.
Santos moves into full mount! Silva won't be happy about that!
Santos controlling the position easily from mount.
Santos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
More stalling from Santos.
Silva is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva regains half guard.
Santos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Santos with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Silva misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.
Silva tries to clinch but Santos moves away
and Santos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
Santos postures up.
Santos controlling from the top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Silva looking for a guillotine here but Santos defends easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Santos dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Santos leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Santos has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Silva bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Santos's head.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Santos but Santos pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Santos on the ground.
Silva content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Santos has locked up a guillotine! Santos's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Silva is holding on here and Santos must be using up a lot of energy. Silva has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Santos gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
