Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fighter Two (ranked 4440 p4p, 5207 weight class) and Joel Homero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fighter Two!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joel Homero!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Homero closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Homero takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Homero working over Two with some ground and pound. Two looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Two is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Homero scores with a couple of nice shots.

Homero is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Two is just riding it out for now. Homero eventually gives up the hold.

Two is looking for a sweep. Homero is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Homero.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Homero connects with a nice short shot to Two's temple.

Homero looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Homero is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Two sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Homero misses with a takedown
and Two cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Homero dives in for a single leg takedown but Two sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Homero changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Two tries to avoid it but Homero manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Two to the ground. Two escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Two is looking to counter the offense by Homero and move into the clinch.
Fighter Two has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Homero.
