Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joel Kangas (ranked 3235 p4p, 4077 weight class) and Ivan Bouldershoulder (ranked 412 p4p, 488 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joel Kangas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivan Bouldershoulder! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bouldershoulder lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Bouldershoulder moves out of range of the body kick. Kangas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Sloppy strikes from Bouldershoulder. Those never looked like landing. Nice sprawl there from Kangas as Bouldershoulder shoots in. Bouldershoulder cracks Kangas with an open hand slap. A punch lands to the side of Kangas 's head but he takes it in his stride. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bouldershoulder. Kangas fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bouldershoulder just manages to avoid it. Bouldershoulder ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kangas moves away. and Kangas counters with a nice leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bouldershoulder swings for the body but Kangas moves out of range.
Ivan Bouldershoulder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bouldershoulder lands a lovely overhand right. A punch combination from Bouldershoulder misses. He's simply no match for Bouldershoulder on the ground. Kangas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That was a close round but I would say that Joel Kangas will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ivan Bouldershoulder's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! A telegraphed right hand from Bouldershoulder misses the target. Bouldershoulder feints a jab promting Kangas to slip. Bouldershoulder then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kangas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Bouldershoulder gets a double leg takedown into Kangas's guard. Bouldershoulder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kangas swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
