PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dakkon Kaddari (ranked 5408 p4p, 24866 weight class) and Max Zeraq (ranked 615 p4p, 756 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaddari throws a body shot but no joy.
Zeraq tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Zeraq on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A low kick lands for Kaddari.
Kaddari tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kaddari fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Zeraq has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Zeraq shoots in for a takedown but Kaddari shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kaddari lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kaddari defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zeraq .
Zeraq tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kaddari manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kaddari throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Kaddari stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Zeraq misses with a kick to the body.
A left lands for Kaddari.

Zeraq blocks a jab.
Zeraq looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Kaddari throws a hook but Zeraq avoids it easily.
Kaddari misses with an uppercut.
Zeraq unleashes a big counter combination but Kaddari bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Kaddari scores with a kick to the midsection.
Zeraq shoots in and drives through. Kaddari sprawls well.
Dakkon Kaddari has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Zeraq .

Kaddari fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Zeraq .

Kaddari lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Kaddari sends Zeraq crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kaddari is motioning to the referee to let Zeraq up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Zeraq is rocked!

Both fighters circling a little - Kaddari finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kaddari lands with a thumping leg kick.
Dakkon Kaddari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kaddari throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Kaddari lands a big head kick that sends Zeraq tumbling to the mat! Kaddari takes a step backwards and waves Zeraq back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Zeraq is still on wobbly legs! Can Kaddari finish him?
Kaddari cracks Zeraq with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Zeraq falls to his knees and Kaddari doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
