Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darren Weeks (ranked 901 p4p, 891 weight class) and Bruce White Jr (ranked 106 p4p, 103 weight class). Darren Weeks had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Weeks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce White Jr!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White Jr's corner calls for a 1-2. White Jr obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
White Jr tests Weeks's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A nice leg kick from White Jr, right into the meat of the thigh.
Darren Weeks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weeks throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
White Jr with a nice cross.

and White Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Weeks throws a wild body kick that White Jr sees coming a mile off.

Weeks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Oh Weeks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Weeks paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

White Jr moves out of range of the strikes.
Weeks tries to bum rush White Jr with a series of wild strikes but White Jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
White Jr looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Weeks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Weeks throws a hook but White Jr avoids it easily.
White Jr ducks under a wild hook from Weeks.
White Jr tests Weeks's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Weeks lands a lovely overhand right.

White Jr swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Weeks throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling White Jr to counter with a crisp jab.
A solid body kick from White Jr.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts White Jr, as that shot connected.
White Jr scores with a shot to the body.
White Jr is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Weeks had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
White Jr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

White Jr moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Weeks goes down! Can White Jr finish him!?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White Jr wanted to stand there but Weeks had control of the position.
White Jr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

White Jr wants to control for a moment but Weeks uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
White Jr looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
White Jr moves into full mount! Weeks won't be happy about that!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Weeks regains half guard.

White Jr pushing down on Weeks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White Jr passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Weeks!

White Jr is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Weeks to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Weeks shrugs it off.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

White Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.

Darren Weeks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Weeks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? White Jr is fending him off so far but Weeks persists. Nope, White Jr circles away and we're back to standing.

and White Jr counters with a right hand that sends Weeks tumbling to the canvas! Can White Jr finish him? He dives into Weeks's guard looking to do just that!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

White Jr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Weekss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Nice straight punches there by White Jr. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of White Jr.
Weeks lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Bruce White Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

White Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Weeks throws a right hand that White Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that White Jr also avoids with ease.
Weeks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as White Jr sprawls well. White Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Weeks gets slowly back to his feet.
White Jr connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
White Jr misses with a body shot.
White Jr seems to have recovered his senses.
White Jr blocks a head kick by Weeks.
It seemed like White Jr was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Weeks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
White Jr drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Weeks right on the button. Weeks goes down! White Jr follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! White Jr gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce White Jr!
