Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Mansome (ranked 5842 p4p, 5698 weight class) and Pete Walker (ranked 585 p4p, 581 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Mansome!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pete Walker!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mansome throws a series of punches but Walker moves out of range.
Mansome misses with a body shot.
Walker misses with a straight right.
Mansome drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Mark Mansome has been cut.
Mansome fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walker manages to avoid it.
It seemed like Walker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Walker throws a right and a left that Mansome avoids nicely.
Walker tries to clinch there but Mansome circles away.
Walker tries to keep at a distance but Mansome has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mansome manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Mansome pulls Walker in close to his closed guard and prevents Walker from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mansome lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Walker is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mansome dives into side control.
Mansome remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mansome with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Walker to score with a decent uppercut.

Mansome shoots in but Walker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mansome shoots in looking for a takedown but Walker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mansome's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Walker lands with an uppercut that bounces Mansome off the cage and back into range.
Pete Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker has closed the distance and engaged Mansome in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mansome ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Walker moves away.

Mark Mansome's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Walker tries to close the distance and clinch but Mansome swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Mansome will probably get the nod.

That's time! Back to the action!
Walker lands with a right and another and another! Mansome is in big trouble! Walker lands again and this time it's lights out for Mansome! A quality knockout there for Walker.
