Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chief Seminole (ranked 2125 p4p, 1589 weight class) and Emre Hussain (ranked 240 p4p, 183 weight class). Chief Seminole had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Seminole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Emre Hussain!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seminole shoots in and gets a takedown into Hussain's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Seminole working some strikes from top position.
Seminole with a flurry of punches that miss.
Seminole working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Seminole postures up in Hussain's guard and throws a big left but Hussain blocks it.
Seminole postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Seminole stops Hussain from standing up.
Hussain preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Seminole throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hussain works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Seminole won't allow Hussain to get back to his feet.
Seminole throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Seminole in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Seminole lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seminole throwing strikes from guard but Hussain blocks nicely.
Seminole postures up in Hussain's guard and throws a big left but Hussain blocks it.
Hussain has momentary wrist control but Seminole slips an elbow through the middle.
Seminole connects with a couple of short punches.

Seminole won't allow Hussain to get back to his feet.
Seminole pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hussain is keeping the position for now.
Seminole scoring with punches to the head and body.
Seminole throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hussain works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Seminole loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hussain manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Seminole is working for takedown but Hussain is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hussain is trying to push Seminole away but Seminole has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hussain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hussain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Seminole gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hussain has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hussain lands an overhand right.
Seminole shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hussain cracks Seminole with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Seminole looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chief Seminole. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hussain lands a front kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hussain scores with a punch to the head.
Hussain lands a lovely overhand right.
Seminole is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hussain sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hussain throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Seminole shoots in for a takedown but Hussain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Seminole is breathing heavily.
Seminole dives in and grabs Hussain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hussain pushes down on Seminole's head and hops out.

It looks like Chief Seminole has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Seminole is defended easily by Hussain.
Hussain is looking to clinch but Seminole is avoiding it.
Hussain's corner calls for a 1-2. Hussain obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hussain connects with a body shot that sends Seminole's belly button to the back.
Hussain lands a jab to the nose.
Seminole darts in looking for a takedown but Hussain gets double underhooks and turns Seminole into the cage.
Hussain tries to circle away but Seminole has him pinned against the cage.
Hussain wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Seminole has him pressed against the cage.
Hussain wants to get back to striking at distance but Seminole won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hussain tries to circle away but Seminole has him pinned against the cage.
Hussain wants to break free but Seminole has control.
Seminole tries to score a body lock takedown but Hussain shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Hussain breaks from the clinch.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Seminole crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hussain - the referee stops the clock and Seminole gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hussain. Seminole manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hussain scores with a sloppy right hand. Seminole should have avoided that one.
Emre Hussain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hussain cracks Seminole with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Seminole fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Hussain closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hussain tries to circle away but Seminole has him pinned against the cage.
Hussain wants to break free but Seminole has control.
Hussain has had enough of the clinch but Seminole keeps him there for the moment.
Hussain is trying to push Seminole away but Seminole has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hussain breaks from the clinch.
Seminole shoots for a double leg takedown but Hussain sprawls well. He's pushed Seminole's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Seminole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hussain as he avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hussain lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Seminole shoots in looking for a takedown. Hussain tries to sprawl out of it but Seminole keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hussain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hussain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hussain wants it to stay on the feet.
A jab from Hussain finds it's way through Seminole's defenses.

Seminole is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hussain throws an uppercut from hell that sends Seminole clean off his feet! He's out cold! Hussain stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Emre Hussain!
Emre Hussain decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
