Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Bronco (ranked 607 p4p, 700 weight class) and Shen Po (ranked 86 p4p, 98 weight class). Bronco comes to the cage accompanied by The Horses - Daryl Braithwaite . Po comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ei-tetsu Hayashi & 木下伸市 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Bronco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shen Po!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronco steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Po.
A jab from Po does it's job there.
Bronco shoots in for a double leg but Po sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bronco fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bronco darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Po blocks a jab.
Po takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Johnny Bronco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Po lands a right hook to the body.
Bronco throws the left hand but Po avoids the punch easily.
Bronco's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Po connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bronco scrambles back to his feet.

Bronco has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Bronco looks for a takedown but Po sprawls well.

Po wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Po throws a hook but Bronco blocks it.

Po's coach down at Chakuriki LA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Po's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Bronco takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Po connects with a right hand. Bronco shakes it off.
Po misses with a body shot.
Po moves forwards but Bronco connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Po swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bronco throws a hook to the side of Po's head but Po sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bronco moves away from the strike by Po.
Bronco scores with a nice strike.
Bronco misses with a takedown attempt
and Po counters with a nice uppercut.
Bronco shoots in but Po avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bronco blocks a low kick nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bronco gets a takedown into half guard.
Po moves into full guard.

Po escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bronco gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Po wants to control but Bronco passes easily into half guard.
Po is pressing down on Bronco's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Po is trying to control the position but Bronco postures up.

Po is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bronco is aware though and is defending well.
Bronco lands a couple of elbows.
Po has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bronco stands and throws Po's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Po's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bronco in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Bronco is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Po has escaped the position, nice work there.

Po tries to bench press Bronco off him but Bronco keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Bronco will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Po looks to throw the jab but Bronco is out of range.
Bronco connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Po steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bronco.
Bronco shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Po goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Po throws a leg kick that misses.
Po with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bronco to score with a decent uppercut.
Po just misses with a punch to the body.
Po connects with a looping right hand.
Bronco tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Po defends well and Bronco ends up having to push Po into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bronco has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Po is trying to keep an underhook but Bronco manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Po lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Po slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Po content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Bronco is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Po's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Po! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Bronco has tapped! This one is allllll over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Shen Po!
Shen Po was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
