Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Austin (ranked 1264 p4p, 1554 weight class) and Charlie Chan (ranked 179 p4p, 225 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Austin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Roy Jones. Jr - Can't be Touched. Charlie Chan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Chan!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
It looked like Austin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Austin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nice straight punches there by Chan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Chan.

Austin forces Chan back against the cage and clinches.
Chan lands with a right to the head.
Our sources have told us that Austin has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Chan wants to stall.
Chan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Austin tries to work over Chan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Austin lands with a right to the head.
Austin gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
With the fighters up against the cage, Chan throws an elbow but misses.
Chan scores with a shot to the side of Austin's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Austin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Chan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Austin.
Chan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chan is trying to push Austin away but Austin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chan throws a looping overhand right but Austin ducks down to avoid it.
Chan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A telegraphed right hand from Chan misses the target.
Chan throws a body shot but no joy.
Austin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Chan misses with a hook. Austin ducked under it nicely.
Austin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Chan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chan throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Austin moves out of range of the strikes.
Chan throws a hook to the side of Austin's head but Austin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chan throws a lazy uppercut
and Austin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

letting Austin counter with a right hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Austin will probably get the nod.

A quick step to the side and Austin tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chan throws a lazy right hand but Austin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

enabling Austin to counter with a crisp jab.
Austin gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Chan drives through and clinches with Austin against the cage.
Chan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Austin lands a nice knee to the body.
Austin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chan backwards.
Austin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Austin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chan backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin throws an elbow but it's blocked.
With the fighters up against the cage, Chan throws an elbow but misses.
Chan lands with a left to the head.
Chan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

As Chan tries to get set, Austin tries to push him back and clinch up but Chan manages to avoid the attempt.

Austin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Chan is rocked!
and Austin counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Chan! He's just covering up as Austin starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyle Austin!
Kyle Austin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
