Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soul Taker (ranked 812 p4p, 783 weight class) and Jacks Sole (ranked 121 p4p, 117 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 2, fighting out of London, Soul Taker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jacks Sole!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taker tries to work over Sole's front leg with a kick but Sole checks it.
Sole misses with an uppercut.

Sole rushes Taker and presses him up against the cage.

A nice right hand lands inside from Taker.

Taker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sole throws a right and a left that Taker avoids nicely.

Sole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Taker finds it's way round the side to connect with Sole's head.
Taker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Sole counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sole needs to keep his hands up - Taker had a free shot at his head there.
Sole fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sole scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Taker doesn't seem bothered though.

Taker throws a looping overhand right but Sole ducks down to avoid it.

Taker is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Sole gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Taker throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Some bone on bone action there as Sole checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sole lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Sole rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sole connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Taker momentarily.
Sole throws a low kick, looking for Taker's leg but Taker calmly moves out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Taker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Taker.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sole throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Taker cracks Sole with a nice body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sole throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Taker.
Taker is looking to slow Sole down with leg kicks.

Taker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Taker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
