Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michel Colucci (ranked 345 p4p, 772 weight class) and John Edmonds (ranked 45 p4p, 101 weight class). Colucci comes to the cage accompanied by Drake ft Kanye - Glow. Edmonds has chosen Frankie Smith - Double Dutch Bus as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michel Colucci! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Edmonds! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colucci uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Colucci takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Colucci tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Edmonds manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Edmonds tries to keep at a distance but Colucci has taken the fight into the clinch. Colucci misses with some punches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Edmonds creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Edmonds is struggling to control the position. Colucci pushes Edmonds back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Edmonds has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Colucci regains guard immediately. Colucci keeping full guard, as Edmonds tries to pass. Edmonds trying to control but Colucci is working from the bottom. Colucci is looking for a triangle but Edmonds pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colucci looking for a guillotine here but Edmonds defends easily.
Edmonds must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Edmonds tries to free his leg and advance position but Colucci is retaining full guard. Edmonds postures up.
Colucci is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Edmonds pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Colucci is keeping the position for now. Edmonds controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Colucci keeping full guard, as Edmonds tries to pass. Colucci looking for a guillotine here but Edmonds defends easily.
Colucci keeping moving, preventing Edmonds from controlling successfully. Colucci looking for a sweep. Not yet Colucci, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edmonds has gone for a leg lock! Colucci slips out almost immediately though and dives into Edmonds's guard. Colucci trying to control but Edmonds is working from the bottom. Colucci postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Colucci lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Edmonds not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Edmonds wants to sweep here but Colucci controlling him for the moment. Colucci throwing strikes from guard but Edmonds blocks nicely. Edmonds tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colucci postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Colucci pushes down on Edmonds's leg and manages to get into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Edmonds looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Colucci is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Colucci wants to free his trapped foot but Edmonds is holding on for dear life with his legs. Colucci working the head and body with strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Michel Colucci dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Edmonds misses with a lunging right hand
and Colucci counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Colucci misses with a straight left. Edmonds lands with a hook. Colucci tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Edmonds missing with a left hand there. Colucci was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. No joy there for Edmonds, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Colucci shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Edmonds as he avoids it easily. Edmonds lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Colucci closes the distance and pushes Edmonds back into the cage. Edmonds has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Colucci regains guard immediately. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Colucci is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Edmonds defends well. Edmonds passes easily into side control. Nice work. Michel Colucci overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Edmonds is looking to take a break and control but Colucci is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Colucci tries to buck Edmonds off but Edmonds is having none of it. A lull in the action here as Edmonds stalls from top position. Colucci tries to bench press Edmonds off him but Edmonds keeps the position. Colucci is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Edmonds is trying to get an arm triangle but Colucci is defending well. Colucci gets back to half guard. Colucci is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Hey Steves Fight Shack, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Edmonds is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Edmonds's corner is telling him to maintain position. Edmonds stopping the sweep attempt from Colucci. Colucci keeping moving, preventing Edmonds from controlling successfully. Colucci working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edmonds doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Edmonds manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edmonds forces his way into half guard. Colucci looking for submissions off his back. Edmonds is working for a submission of some sort.
Edmonds is trying to control. Colucci wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Colucci manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Colucci pushes a forearm under Edmonds's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Edmonds is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
