Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Wayne Gracie (ranked 573 p4p, 1710 weight class) and Mon Ster (ranked 75 p4p, 201 weight class). Gracie's entrance music is Thriller by Michael Jackson. A fine choice. Ster has chosen The Automatic - Monster as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 33 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Wayne Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mon Ster! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick from Ster misses. Ster stuns Gracie with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Gracie has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Marijuana Gardens in the buildup to the fight. A nice leg kick from Ster, right into the meat of the thigh.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ster lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gracie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gracie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Jab from Gracie.
It looks like Mon Ster has been cut. Ster blocks a jab. Gracie lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ster's sensitive parts. Gracie swings for the body but Ster moves out of range.
Gracie throws a body punch but Ster moves out of range. A cross from Ster lands. Ster throws a big shot that misses. Ster misses with an uppercut
and Gracie counters with a stiff right hand. Ster fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gracie throws a low kick but Ster avoids it. Mon Ster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ster swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gracie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ster throws a body shot but no joy. Gracie connects with a looping right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ster blocks a head kick by Gracie.
Gracie tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ster stalks Gracie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gracie's face. Gracie staggers backwards, shaken. Ster throws a leg kick but Gracie checks it. Gracie swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ster.
Ster throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily. Gracie looks for the body kick but Ster saw that one coming. Gracie scores with a spinning back kick! Ster throws a leg kick that misses. A chopping leg kick lands by Ster. A telegraphed right hand from Gracie misses the target. Ster looks like he wants to counter punch here. Gracie blocks the body kick.
Gracie lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ster will feel that in the morning. Ster cracks a nice hook into Gracie's ribs. Ster thows a left - swing and a miss! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gracie, as that shot connected.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ster connects with a body shot that sends Gracie's belly button to the back. Ster misses with an uppercut
and Gracie counters with a thumping low kick. Ster looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range. Ster throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it. Ster sizes up Gracie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Gracie throws a push kick but Ster slaps the foot to one side. Gracie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ster sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gracie slips under a jab from Ster. Ster takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ster looks winded! Gracie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gracie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ster showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gracie.
Ster now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Gracie scoring well with a low kick there.
Gracie throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ster throws a lazy uppercut
and Gracie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A looping hook to the body misses from Ster. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet. Ster misses with a shot to the body letting Gracie counter with a right hand. Gracie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Gracie buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gracie keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That has opened up Mon Ster's cut even more. Gracie misses with an uppercut. Ster saw that one coming. Gracie drives through with a takedown into guard. Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ster's guard. Gracie is pressing down on Ster's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ster is holding on for now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie wants to take a breather but Ster is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie thows a huge punch but Ster dodges it nicely.
Gracie is trying to control. Ster wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gracie scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Gracie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ster wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Gracie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ster defending well though. Gracie wants to control but Ster is keeping him busy. Ster desperately trying to maintain half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
John Wayne Gracie dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mon Ster's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ster looks to land a combination. Gracie sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Ster uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gracie. Despite the aggression on Ster's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ster!
Gracie lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Gracie throws a solid leg kick but Ster takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Gracie. Gracie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ster takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses. A kick lands to the mid section there for Ster. Ster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ster misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gracie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ster checks it well. Ster throws a nice looking combination but Gracie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Gracie on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Ster scores with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ster pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ster gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gracie. Ster misses with a hook. Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gracie throws a push kick but Ster slaps the foot to one side. Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gracie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ster can do to turn this around? Ster steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gracie. A combination from Gracie does no damage. Ster throws a right and a left that both miss. Ster throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gracie. Ster misses with an uppercut. A counter left hand to the body from Gracie misses its target. Gracie with a body punch. A glancing blow. Ster is breathing heavily. A leg kick checked by Ster. Gracie with a nice calf kick. Ster misses with the body kick and Gracie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The cut above Mon Ster's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ster. Ster uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gracie.
Ster tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ster throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gracie is looking to counter punch. Gracie connects with the punch. Ster avoids the head kick by Gracie.
A swing and a miss from Gracie. A leg kick checked by Ster. Ster throws a leg kick enabling Gracie to counter with a crisp jab. Ster pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ster throws a predictable looking body shot
and Gracie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mon Ster's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Gracie getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mon Ster's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Wayne Gracie! An out of breath John Wayne Gracie thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
