Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emanuel Rodrigez (ranked 19083 p4p, 24244 weight class) and Bartolomeo Longo (ranked 702 p4p, 704 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emanuel Rodrigez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bartolomeo Longo! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodrigez misses with a head kick.
Rodrigez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rodrigez lands in his opponent's guard. Rodrigez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rodrigez passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rodrigez is putting a hurting on Longo here, landing some big shots from side control. Rodrigez taking a breather here. Rodrigez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodrigez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Longo, who protects the arm well. Rodrigez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Rodrigez stalls from top position. Rodrigez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Rodrigez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Longo to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rodrigez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Longo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rodrigez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Longo looks winded! Rodrigez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rodrigez staying calm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodrigez advances to full mount. Rodrigez landing strikes, looking to finish! Rodrigez content just to control the position here. Rodrigez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Longo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodrigez lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Rodrigez landing strikes from the mount. Longo tries to lock up and control but Rodrigez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rodrigez lands a couple of good shots and Longo has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rodrigez is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Rodrigez working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Rodrigez biding his time, looking for the opening.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Emanuel Rodrigez dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Rodrigez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Longo momentarily.
Rodrigez scores with a nice body kick.
Rodrigez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rodrigez passes to full mount! Rodrigez has control of Longo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Longo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rodrigez controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rodrigez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Longo's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodrigez in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Rodrigez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rodrigez looking for a guillotine from mount but Longo is having none of it. Rodrigez controlling the position easily from mount. Rodrigez get's back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodrigez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rodrigez is working to tighten his grip on Longo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Longo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rodrigez is really squeezing tight and eventually Longo passes out! Rodrigez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Emanuel Rodrigez! A very excited looking Emanuel Rodrigez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
