Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Stalinovich (ranked 1072 p4p, 2556 weight class) and Jaquon Jones (ranked 152 p4p, 324 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Stalinovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jaquon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Stalinovich scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Jaquon Jones has been cut.
Stalinovich closes the distance but Jones moves to the side
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut.
Joseph Stalinovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stalinovich drops Jones with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jones looks back up at him and smiles so Stalinovich waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

That has opened up Jaquon Jones's cut even more.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stalinovich throws a shot to the body.
Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A little jabbing left from Jones on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Jones bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stalinovich's head.

Jones drops Stalinovich with a beautiful combination! Stalinovich stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!

It looks like Joseph Stalinovich has been cut.
Stalinovich doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Oh Stalinovich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stalinovich fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jones! But no joy.
A jab from Stalinovich does it's job there.

Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The cut above Jaquon Jones's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Stalinovich lands a nice shot to the body.
Stalinovich tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.
Jones is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Stalinovich lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Stalinovich counters with a left and a right that stings Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Stalinovich ducks down to avoid it.

Jones looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Stalinovich tries to work over Jones's front leg with a kick but Jones checks it.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Stalinovich crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stalinovich throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Stalinovich clinches up against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joseph Stalinovich will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Stalinovich bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stalinovich can pounce on him.

Stalinovich keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away.
Jones is trying to push Stalinovich away but Stalinovich has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Jones is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Stalinovich keeps him there for the moment.
Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Stalinovich presses Jones against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jaquon Jones's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jaquon Jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

After the fight, Joseph Stalinovich was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
