Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack LeBalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Arlovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

LeBalls misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
LeBalls lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
LeBalls is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Arlovsky is in real trouble.
Arlovsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with LeBalls. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

LeBalls is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Arlovsky knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Arlovsky for a finish.

Arlovsky throws a combination that misses

so LeBalls counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Arlovsky wants to stand and escape but LeBalls is having none of it.
LeBalls tries to free his leg and advance position but Arlovsky is retaining full guard.
LeBalls chips away with some ground and pound.
LeBalls has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Arlovsky manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Arlovsky manages to capitalize on a mistake by LeBalls to take his back!
You can see the frustration on LeBalls's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
LeBalls connects with a good right hand that stumbles Arlovsky. Arlovsky circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Andrei Arlovsky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
LeBalls throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Arlovsky stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
LeBalls shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arlovsky pinned against the cage. Arlovsky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Arlovsky tries to lock up and control but LeBalls gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
A nice elbow there by LeBalls.
Arlovsky is wriggling around trying to escape.
LeBalls lands a big shot there that rocks Arlovsky but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


A cross from Arlovsky lands.
LeBalls takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Arlovsky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Arlovsky throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
LeBalls throws a good cross that connects.

and LeBalls counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Arlovsky's guard now.

LeBalls working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Arlovsky's head.
Arlovsky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
LeBalls stands and throws Arlovsky's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Arlovsky is trying to escape the position but LeBalls is controlling the position.

LeBalls goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Arlovsky is on top in guard.

LeBalls working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arlovsky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Arlovsky manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No joy there for LeBalls, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

LeBalls tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
LeBalls avoids the body shot from Arlovsky.
Arlovsky throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and LeBalls counters by clinching up.
Arlovsky has had enough of the clinch but LeBalls keeps him there for the moment.
LeBalls presses Arlovsky against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Andrei Arlovsky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
LeBalls lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Well LeBalls has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
