The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Athanas looks to score with a jab to the body but The Leviathan is just out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No joy there for The Leviathan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The Leviathan throws a big counter combination but Athanas scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Athanas takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The Leviathan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The Leviathan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Athanas finds it's way round the side to connect with The Leviathan's head.
The Leviathan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Athanas to score with a decent uppercut.

Athanas looks to throw the jab but The Leviathan is out of range.
The Leviathan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Athanas now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Athanas was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Athanas uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The Leviathan scores with a sloppy right hand. Athanas should have avoided that one.

Athanas clobbers The Leviathan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Athanas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but The Leviathan manages to avoid it.
The Leviathan scores with a sloppy right hand. Athanas should have avoided that one.

The Leviathan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Athanas.
The Leviathan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Athanas sprawling to the canvas! Athanas rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can The Leviathan finish him?!
Athanas is rocked!
The Leviathan stuns Athanas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

and The Leviathan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Good exchange - Athanas coming out on top.
Athanas seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Athanas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between The Leviathan's hands.
