Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Midnight Cigarette (ranked 4245 p4p, 19458 weight class) and Oleg Liguy (ranked 531 p4p, 794 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cigarette might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Burning of the Midnight Lamp. Oleg Liguy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 26 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oleg Liguy!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cigarette throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Liguy was covering up waiting for the punch and Cigarette finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Cigarette throws a big elbow that misses.
Liguy wants to sweep here but Cigarette controlling him for the moment.
Cigarette content to stall in guard here.
Cigarette has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Liguy has his hands on Cigarette's head, controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cigarette accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Liguy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Liguy controls Cigarette momentarily but Cigarette frees himself.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Cigarette dives in and grabs Liguy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Liguy pushes down on Cigarette's head and hops out.
Liguy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cigarette drops back looking for a leg! Liguy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Liguy manages to kick Cigarette off! Cigarette jumps back into Liguy's guard.

Liguy working for a triangle but Cigarette defends it easily.
Cigarette thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Cigarette engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Cigarette will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cigarette passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Cigarette working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cigarette is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Liguy has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cigarette wants to control but Liguy is keeping him busy.
Cigarette tries for a kimura but Liguy is defending well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Liguy tries to improve position but can't.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Cigarette dives in for a single leg takedown but Liguy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Liguy stops a takedown attempt from Cigarette.
Cigarette is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Liguy is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Midnight Cigarette. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cigarette changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Liguy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cigarette is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Liguy can do to turn this around?
A momentary lapse in concentration from Cigarette enables Liguy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cigarette manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cigarette has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Liguy should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Cigarette has tightened it up now! Liguy should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
