Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raate Road (ranked 191 p4p, 1130 weight class) and Jonathan Archer (ranked 27 p4p, 164 weight class). Road kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is For Heavy Metal we will die!. Archer has chosen Wu Tang Clan - Method Man as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raate Road!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Archer!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Road keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Archer.
Road half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Archer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Archer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Archer there as he acknowledges the shot.
Archer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Archer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Archer stuffs the takedown.
Road throws a head kick that half lands.
Archer misses with a wild body shot.
Archer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
A jab from Archer misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Road misses the target.
Road gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Archer misses with a two punch combination.
Road fires out a quick counter leg kick but Archer just manages to avoid it.
Road swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Archer fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Road fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Archer to the ground. Road is now in Archer's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Road throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Archer wants to stand and escape but Road is having none of it.

Road throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Archer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Road postures up in Archer's guard and throws a big left but Archer blocks it.
We've been hearing that Road has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Archer wants to stand up but Road is controlling him.
Road cracks Archer with a solid left hand.
Road engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Archer has his feet on Road's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Road tries to clinch up but Archer circles away and keeps his distance.
Archer slaps away a takedown attempt from Road, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Archer slips a jab from Road.

Road shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raate Road. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Road throws a leg kick but Archer sees it coming and moves out of range.
Archer thows a left - swing and a miss!
Road tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Archer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Road tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Archer looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Archer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Road is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Archer.
Road darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Archer tries to kick Road off but Road keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Archer has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Road thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Archer's head.
Archer is staying active underneath Road, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Road throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Road is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Archer has managed to free his arm - good work.
Road not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Road works his foot free and advances to mount.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Archer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Road throws some wild stikes that Archer manages to avoid easily.
Road looking to finish Archer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Archer!

Archer wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Road.
BOOM! Road connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Road has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Archer's face.

Road lands a big shot to the head and Archer winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Raate Road retains his welterweight title!
A very excited looking Raate Road rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
