Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blight Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Summers!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foreman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Summers is looking for a sweep.

Foreman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Summers, who protects the arm well.
Summers tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Foreman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Foreman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Summers has escaped the position, nice work there.
Summers struggling a bit here.
Summers is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Foreman is staying active.
Summers tries to bench press Foreman off him but Foreman keeps the position.

Summers is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Foreman is controlling him well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Summers lands with a hook. Foreman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Foreman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Summers defends it well.

Summers tries to kick Foreman off but Foreman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Foreman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Summers is fending him off so far but Foreman persists. Nope, Summers circles away and we're back to standing.

Summers lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Summers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Summers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Foreman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Summers looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Summers wants to stand and escape but Foreman is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Summers counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Foreman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Summers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Foreman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Foreman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Summers is one step ahead there.
Summers wants to control from the top but Foreman keeps moving.
Summers content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Foreman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Summers.
No luck for Foreman with that takedown attempt.
Blight Foreman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foreman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Summers's waist but Summers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Foreman off to one side.
Summers throws a right hand that Foreman ducks under and follows up with a left that Foreman also avoids with ease.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
No joy there for Summers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Summers lands a nice looking body shot.
Foreman fails with the takedown

and Summers counters with a shoot takedown. Foreman fights it but they end up in guard.
Summers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foreman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Foreman has his foot on Summers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Summers works his way back into a safe position though.

Foreman has momentary wrist control but Summers slips an elbow through the middle.
Summers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Foreman had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Summers is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Foreman Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Summers's back instead.

Foreman is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Summers won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Foreman off his unconscious opponent!
