Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Professor Avenarius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avenarius has chosen Space Prophet Dogon, Sun City Girls as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avenarius throws a head kick but Tavares moves out of range.
Avenarius tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Professor Avenarius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tavares fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tavares takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Avenarius tries a head kick but it misses.
Tavares avoids the head kick by Avenarius.
Tavares misses with a head kick.
Tavares darts in and clinches Avenarius up against the cage.
Avenarius breaks from the clinch.
Avenarius throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tavares's head.
It looks like Alex Tavares has been cut.
Tavares misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Avenarius lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tavares circles away quickly and effectively.
Whack! Avenarius lands a heavy head kick that drops Tavares. The ref tackles Avenarius to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Tavares was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Professor Avenarius!
