And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hamzat Hoogo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinigumi feints and then cracks Hoogo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hoogo down.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Hoogo closes the distance and clinches.
Hoogo misses with some punches.
Hoogo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Hoogo keeping moving, preventing Shinigumi from controlling successfully.
Shinigumi postures up in Hoogo's guard and throws a big left but Hoogo blocks it.
Shinigumi is sitting in close to Hoogo's body. Hoogo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Shinigumi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Shinigumi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hoogo.
