Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Brockington (ranked 3167 p4p, 5501 weight class) and Jure Jez (ranked 404 p4p, 576 weight class). Jure Jez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kevin Brockington's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Brockington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jure Jez!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jez gets a double leg takedown into Brockington's guard.

Brockington has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Brockington has been working on his balance at , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Jez.

Brockington has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jez after a bit of a struggle.

Jez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brockington's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A close second round but Jure Jez will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Brockington goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Brockington but great work by Jez.

Brockington is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jez is just riding it out for now. Brockington eventually gives up the hold.

Brockington is trying to trip Jez. He has hold of a leg but Jez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Brockington persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Brockington is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jez has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brockington is controlling him well.

Brockington tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brockington has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
