Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yayi Zinsou! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zinsou looking to score a takedown here. Eikmeyer is defending well but Zinsou drives through and ends up in Eikmeyer's guard. Zinsou working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Zinsou is in close to Eikmeyer's body, working some short punches and elbows. Zinsou scoring with punches to the head and body. Eikmeyer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zinsou defends well. Eikmeyer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Zinsou slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Zinsou makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Zinsou's corner is telling him to maintain position. Zinsou lands a couple of decent looking shots. Eikmeyer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Zinsou slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Eikmeyer looking for a guillotine here but Zinsou defends easily.
Eikmeyer seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Eikmeyer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Zinsou doesn't defend quickly enough and Eikmeyer has managed to lock this one up! Can Zinsou escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Eikmeyer on a fantastic submission victory.
