Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bertel Haardt (ranked 3106 p4p, 5898 weight class) and Andrejs Medvedevs (ranked 310 p4p, 545 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bertel Haardt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrejs Medvedevs! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haardt throws a sloppy head kick and Medvedevs moves out of range easily. Medvedevs is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. A good leg kick by Haardt. Medvedevs fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Medvedevs is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Haardt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Medvedevs was well out of range. Poor timing from Haardt. Medvedevs doesn't manage to clinch there - Haardt circles away.
Haardt drops Medvedevs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Medvedevs looks back up at him and smiles so Haardt waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Medvedevs is rocked!
It looks like Andrejs Medvedevs has been cut. Haardt has managed to clinch.
Medvedevs is still on wobbly legs! Can Haardt finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Medvedevs fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Medvedevs seems to have recovered his senses. Haardt putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Medvedevs in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Medvedevs looks winded! Haardt crunches a lovely knee into Medvedevs's ribcage. Haardt lands a nice elbow. The referee is keeping an eye on Haardt - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Medvedevs has Haardt pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Haardt manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bertel Haardt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrejs Medvedevs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haardt softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Our sources have told us that Haardt has been working on his elbows in the gym. Haardt unloads an enormous knee to the head! That's knocked Medvedevs out cold! Holy cow, it was almost as if it lifted Medvedevs off his feet!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Bertel Haardt!
