Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Willie Layer (ranked 6407 p4p, 24554 weight class) and Android Boxer (ranked 659 p4p, 741 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willie Layer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Android Boxer!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Layer throws a body punch but Boxer moves out of range.
Layer throws a shot from downtown. Boxer moves away and avoids it.
Layer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Boxer.

Layer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boxer.
Layer lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Boxer lands a nice looking body shot.
Layer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Layer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Layer steps into range and cracks Boxer with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Boxer flops backwards and Layer dives into his guard looking to finish!
Layer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Layer throws a lazy right hand but Boxer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Layer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
