PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Morrsion (ranked 6256 p4p, 24847 weight class) and Kevin Owens (ranked 568 p4p, 598 weight class). Owens comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fight kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonathan Morrsion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kevin Owens!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Morrsion shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Owens napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sloppy strikes there by Morrsion.
Morrsion looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Owens is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Morrsion asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Owens avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Morrsion.
Owens struggling a bit here.
Morrsion controlling the position from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Morrsion working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Owens tries to improve position but can't.
Owens is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Morrsion is controlling him well.
Morrsion in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Morrsion is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Owens knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Morrsion has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Owens is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Morrsion yanks on the arm and Owens is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Morrsion.
