Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edgy Brah (ranked 2201 p4p, 5996 weight class) and Ellis Rowards (ranked 287 p4p, 628 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Edgy Brah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ellis Rowards! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brah drives through and clinches with Rowards against the cage.
Rowards has hold of one of Brah's legs. Brah is fighting the takedown attempt but Rowards gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Rowards won't allow Brah to sweep him here. Rowards must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rowards trying to control but Brah is working from the bottom. Brah keeping full guard, as Rowards tries to pass. Rowards wants to control from the top but Brah keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowards pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brah is keeping the position for now. Rowards with a nice head shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rowards wants to control from the top but Brah keeps moving. Rowards slips nicely into half guard. Rowards is thwarting Brah's attempts to control the position. Brah is refusing to be controlled, as Rowards sits in half guard. Rowards tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brah controls his leg. Brah wants to improve his position but Rowards is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rowards is looking for a kimura but Brah is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rowards to get the leverage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brah missing with a left hand there. Rowards was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Rowards is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Rowards swats away the attempt to clinch by Brah. Rowards throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brah was covering up waiting for the punch and Rowards finishes the takedown easily into guard. Brah has his feet on Rowards's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Brah is breathing heavily. Rowards shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brah's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowards has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brah is proving hard to escape from. Brah might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rowards trying to control but Brah is working from the bottom. Rowards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brah is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rowards throws a strike but Brah rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rowards is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rowards throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Rowards wants to sweep here but Brah controlling him for the moment. Brah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rowards swivels though and keeps the full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rowards can do anything to dispel that myth. Brah throwing strikes from guard but Rowards blocks nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brah avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Edgy Brah will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Brah moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Brah is looking to clinch but Rowards is avoiding it.
Rowards shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brah's guard. Rowards works over Brah with some ground and pound from guard. Rowards trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Brah is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rowards stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brah swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowards trying to control the position from guard on top but Brah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brah wants to sweep here but Rowards controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rowards wants to control from the top but Brah keeps moving. Brah keeping full guard, as Rowards tries to pass. Brah throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rowards throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brah was covering up waiting for the punch and Rowards finishes the takedown easily into guard. Brah uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brah tries to sprawl but Rowards drives through with a takedown into half guard. Brah makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brah has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rowards manages to pull guard.
Rowards throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Rowards controls Brah momentarily but Brah frees himself. Brah engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brah postures up.
Brah trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rowards lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Rowards wants to control from the top but Brah keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rowards sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brah's guard. Rowards thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brah's head. Brah is trying to control but can't.
Brah is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rowards scores with a couple of nice shots. Brah is trying to maintain the position but Rowards is very close to passing his half guard. Rowards seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brah does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brah pushes Rowards off and gets back to his feet. Rowards moves into the clinch. Rowards is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Brah is keeping busy. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Edgy Brah will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Brah controls from within his opponent's guard. Rowards wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rowards trying to keep a closed guard but Brah is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Rowards misses with a body shot
and Brah connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Brah throws a right and a left that Rowards avoids nicely. Rowards chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brah can pounce on him.
Rowards scores with a head kick.
Rowards swats away the attempt to clinch by Brah. Rowards unleashes a big counter combination but Brah bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Brah tries to clinch there but Rowards circles away.
Rowards tries a low kick but Brah avoids it. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rowards. The fight moves into the clinch position. Brah manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowards scores with a takedown into Brah's guard. Brah has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rowards has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rowards pulls guard. Brah wants to stand but Rowards has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Brah loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rowards throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Edgy Brah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rowards keeping moving, preventing Brah from controlling successfully.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fighters are working up against the cage. Brah manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Rowards.
Ellis Rowards has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Edgy Brah is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Brah breaks the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Edgy Brah. Well Brah has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
