Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luca Anacoreta (ranked 2138 p4p, 3658 weight class) and Johnny Michaels (ranked 288 p4p, 443 weight class). Johnny Michaels will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luca Anacoreta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Michaels! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michaels misses with a double jab.

Michaels falls off balance throwing a combination
and Anacoreta counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Anacoreta controlling from the top position. Michaels trying to keep a closed guard but Anacoreta is proving a slippery customer.
Anacoreta stopping the sweep attempt from Michaels. Anacoreta seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Michaels is trying to control the position but Anacoreta postures up. Anacoreta pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Michaels is keeping the position for now. Michaels looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Michaels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anacoreta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Anacoreta stays in close to Michaels's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anacoreta is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Anacoreta trying to control but Michaels is working from the bottom. Anacoreta is really struggling to control Michaels but he's trying to hold on to the position. Michaels is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Anacoreta slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Michaels has control of Anacoreta's left arm, preventing Anacoreta from doing any damage. Anacoreta passes easily into side control. Nice work. Anacoreta thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anacoreta in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Michaels is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
