And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlos Rogan!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Rogan has closed the distance and engaged Mendoza in a clinch.
Mendoza manages to break the clinch.
Rogan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mendoza.
Rogan is looking to clinch but Mendoza is avoiding it.
Rogan throws a hook but Mendoza avoids it easily.
Rogan tries for a takedown but Mendoza circles away easily
and Mendoza counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rogan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carlos Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good shot there by Mendoza.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch combination from Mendoza misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rogan! But no joy.
Rogan misses with a right hand
and Mendoza counters with a huge left! Rogan is in big trouble! He's backing up but Mendoza isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Rogan from any more damage. A dominating finish by Mendoza!

After the fight, Enzo Mendoza was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
