Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Jones (ranked 181 p4p, 301 weight class) and Heavy Rain (ranked 34 p4p, 46 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I'm A Soldier. Rain has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bubba Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heavy Rain!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rain tries to pull guard but Jones forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Rain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Rain's shoulder, as Rain tries to avoid the shot.
Rain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rain has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones.
Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Rain off balance momentarily.
Rain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones.

That was a close round but I would say that Bubba Jones will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rain looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Rain has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jones is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rain.

Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rain is looking for a choke. Jones gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Jones manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rain working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jones has passed into half guard!
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rain does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
