Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Wilson (ranked 4213 p4p, 4188 weight class) and Nicholas Chandler (ranked 366 p4p, 364 weight class). Wilson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Wilson ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicholas Chandler! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chandler. Chandler throws a leg kick but Wilson moved away. Wilson gets tackled into the cage by Chandler. Chandler maintains the clinch. Chandler throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Wilson is trying to break the clinch but Chandler is controlling him. Chandler lands with a right to the head. Wilson is defending well against a takedown attempt. Wilson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Chandler is keeping busy. Chandler avoiding damage as Wilson throws knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson is trying to break the clinch but Chandler is controlling him. Wilson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chandler uses from the top position. Chandler wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chandler wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving. Chandler content to stall in guard here. Chandler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Chandler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Chandler lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wilson wants to sweep but no luck. Chandler wants to get up but he can't break Wilson 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Chandler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Wilson misses with a low kick. Wilson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chandler. Mike Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicholas Chandler. Chandler looking to score a takedown here. Wilson is defending well but Chandler drives through and ends up in Wilson 's guard. Wilson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Chandler dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Chandler tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Chandler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Chandler controlling from side mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chandler wants to stand but Wilson is controlling his arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chandler tries to advance to mount but Wilson denies him. Chandler is putting a hurting on Wilson here, landing some big shots from side control. Wilson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chandler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Chandler working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Chandler looks up at the clock and then as Wilson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chandler smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Chandler in side control, just content to control the action for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chandler wants to take a breather but Wilson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Chandler. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nicholas Chandler dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Chandler gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wilson . Chandler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilson tries to avoid it but Chandler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilson to the ground. Wilson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Chandler darts in and clinches Wilson up against the cage. Wilson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Wilson has picked Chandler up - he's going for a ride! Wilson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Chandler is looking to get back to is feet but Wilson passes into side control.
Chandler gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Chandler actively working from the bottom here. Nicholas Chandler has got the better of the ground game so far. Chandler gets back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chandler wants to sweep but no luck. Wilson stays in close to Chandler's body and controls the position. Chandler is trying to hold Wilson in close to prevent damage but Wilson has managed to pass into half guard.

Chandler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilson is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Chandler looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wilson has picked Chandler up and slammed him! Chandler can't keep hold of the triangle and Wilson manages to pass to side control! A lull in the action here as Wilson stalls from top position. Chandler is looking for a sweep. Chandler is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wilson is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chandler regains half guard. Chandler is breathing heavily. Chandler is refusing to be controlled, as Wilson sits in half guard. Still in half guard, Wilson seems content to control. Wilson working Chandler over with strikes. Wilson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chandler trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wilson trying to mount his opponent but Chandler defends it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Chandler is trying to stand.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wilson stuffs the takedown. Chandler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wilson throws a body kick that misses and Chandler decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wilson 's guard. Wilson wants to control the position but Chandler says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Chandler seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chandler is controlling the pace.
Chandler is continuing to stall. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Nicholas Chandler will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Chandler darts in trying to clinch so Wilson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Chandler looking for a sweep. Not yet Chandler, not yet. Wilson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Chandler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilson is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chandler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilson defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chandler's guard. Chandler is concentrating on defense, preventing Wilson from advancing position. Chandler pushes Wilson off looking to stand but Wilson dives back in and keeps control.
Wilson passes into side control, despite Chandler's attempt to control the position.
Wilson wants to control but Chandler is keeping him busy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wilson stands up and beckons Chandler to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wilson throws a head kick that misses. It seemed like Chandler was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Wilson tries for a takedown but Chandler circles away easily and Chandler counters with a single leg into guard. Wilson didn't expect that. Chandler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wilson 's head. Chandler wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving. Chandler content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Wilson controls Chandler momentarily but Chandler frees himself. Chandler trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chandler might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wilson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Chandler throws a right and a left that both miss. Wilson is looking to counter the offense by Chandler and move into the clinch. Chandler shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chandler trying to control the action but Wilson is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilson is trying to maintain the position but Chandler is very close to passing his half guard. Chandler is looking to take a break and control but Wilson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chandler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chandler trying to control the action but Wilson is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nicholas Chandler. I've got Chandler winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
