Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelle Oka (ranked 6059 p4p, 4581 weight class) and Brian Dean (ranked 655 p4p, 548 weight class). Brian Dean has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcelle Oka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Dean! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Dean throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dean scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Dean looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Oka clinches with his opponent.
Dean manages to break the clinch.
Dean blocks a leg kick. Donk. Dean catches Oka right on the button with a cross. Oka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dean.
We've been hearing reports that Oka has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Dean misses with a wild body shot. Oka with a poor takedown and Dean counters with a stiff right hand. Oka walks forward, straight into a front kick from Dean. Oka is looking to clinch but Dean is avoiding it.
Dean lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Dean throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oka avoids a kick to the body.
Oka appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Oka scores with a takedown into Dean's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dean is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oka trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Dean manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Dean gets to his feet - Oka follows without any prompting. Dean looks to land a combination. Oka sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Dean stuns Oka with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Dean scores with a crisp jab that stopped Oka in his tracks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dean misses with a right hand and Oka counters with a single leg into guard. Dean didn't expect that. Oka is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Oka decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dean, up you get! Oka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dean wants to get back to his feet. Oka wants to control but Dean is keeping him busy. Oka not landing any meaningful shots this time. Oka is just content to waste time from the top position. Dean takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dean is keeping the position for now. Oka is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dean uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Oka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dean as he avoids it easily. Oka drives through and clinches with Dean against the cage.
Oka stalling in the clinch but Dean improves position. Oka breaks the clinch.
Brian Dean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oka drives through with a takedown into Dean's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Dean has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Oka off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dean keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelle Oka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oka takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Dean cracks Oka with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Oka tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dean pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Oka is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Dean! Brian Dean decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
