Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vasil Hoxha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Roughan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hoxha is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Roughan is defending well for now.
A right handed body shot lands from Hoxha.
Hoxha lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Roughan.
Roughan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hoxha tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Roughan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hoxha scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hoxha lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roughan shoots for a double leg takedown but Hoxha sprawls well. He's pushed Roughan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoxha arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Roughan's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Vasil Hoxha!
