Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Delgado (ranked 4023 p4p, 4188 weight class) and Wayne Ambercrombie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Delgado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wayne Ambercrombie! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ben Hemmingworth and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Delgado shoots for a double leg takedown but Ambercrombie sprawls well. He's pushed Delgado's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ambercrombie throws a leg kick and Delgado counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Ambercrombie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ambercrombie tries to get back to half guard but can't. Delgado misses with the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ground and pound from Delgado seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Ambercrombie is looking to regain half guard here but Delgado keeps moving and retains side control. Delgado is looking to take a break and control but Ambercrombie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ambercrombie is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ambercrombie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ambercrombie won't allow Delgado to pass to mount. Delgado seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ambercrombie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Delgado. Delgado is stalling here. Ambercrombie is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Delgado seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ambercrombie has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Ambercrombie is chipping away with strikes.
Delgado is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ambercrombie sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Delgado is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Delgado tries to improve position but can't. The ground and pound from Ambercrombie seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Ambercrombie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Delgado is trying to get back to half guard. Delgado gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Delgado manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ambercrombie tries to free his leg and advance position but Delgado is retaining full guard. Ambercrombie landing with the ground and pound. Ambercrombie lands a couple of decent looking shots. Delgado can't keep his opponent in guard - Ambercrombie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Delgado is in trouble now - Ambercrombie has advanced to mount! Delgado is squirming around, avoiding Ambercrombie's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ambercrombie lands a nice shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ambercrombie working the ground and pound effectively.
Delgado keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ambercrombie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Delgado is looking to get to half guard. Ambercrombie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Delgado is looking to escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Delgado tries to hold on but Ambercrombie pushes him away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wayne Ambercrombie dominated that round. That's time! Delgado's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ambercrombie tried to score with a low kick but Delgado checks it. Delgado lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ambercrombie does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ambercrombie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Ambercrombie has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ambercrombie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Delgado has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ambercrombie has managed to get both his arms back between Delgado's legs - danger averted. Delgado has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ambercrombie should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Delgado has tightened it up now! Ambercrombie should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
