Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rakin Schmoe (ranked 24777 p4p, 4573 weight class) and Tyler Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmoe comes to the cage accompanied by Callum Scott - Dancing on My Own. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rakin Schmoe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyler Michaels! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Michaels does it's job there. Michaels shoots in for a takedown but Schmoe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Michaels defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schmoe. Schmoe throws a lazy right hand but Michaels sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Michaels moves into range and clinches up with Schmoe. Schmoe is trying to force a seperation but Michaels has the dominant position. Michaels manages to break the clinch.
Schmoe tries for a takedown but Michaels circles away easily and Michaels counters with a stiff right hand. Schmoe fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rakin Schmoe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schmoe goes for a double leg but Michaels avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Michaels continues to drive forward. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Michaels missing with knees to the body.

Michaels pushes off an throws an elbow but Schmoe leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Schmoe's face as he tries to break the clinch. Schmoe is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Michaels is defending well. Schmoe is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels tries to break the clinch but Schmoe is controlling the position. Michaels pulls Schmoe into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Michaels bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Schmoe's guard. Schmoe being controlled here, momentarily. Schmoe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Schmoe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Michaels slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Schmoe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Michaels controls the pace. Michaels with a flurry of punches that miss. Michaels decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Michaels closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Schmoe's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels passes Schmoe's left leg - he's now in half guard. Michaels content to control rather than advance. Michaels stands up from half guard. Michaels decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Michaels not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Michaels content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michaels looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Schmoe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Michaels in particular looking to stall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Michaels thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Michaels dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rakin Schmoe's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Michaels will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The fight moves into the clinch position. Schmoe has had enough of the clinch but Michaels keeps him there for the moment. Michaels manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Schmoe is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Michaels working some nice short punches in the clinch. Michaels escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Michaels fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schmoe fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nice sprawl there from Schmoe as Michaels shoots in. Rakin Schmoe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Michaels.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels shoots for a double leg takedown but Schmoe sprawls well. He's pushed Michaels's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Schmoe slaps away a takedown attempt from Michaels, before circling back to the center of the mat. Schmoe lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Michaels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Michaels gets in close and instigates a clinch. Schmoe takes a shot to the head. Michaels lands a shoulder strike. Michaels jumps guard and drags Schmoe to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Schmoe wants to control from the top but Michaels keeps moving. Michaels controlling Schmoe's posture. Michaels has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Schmoe is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schmoe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Michaels walks away with a smile on his face. Schmoe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Michaels has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Schmoe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Michaels darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Michaels works his way into full mount! Michaels thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Michaels takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Michaels punching from mount but Schmoe doing a good job of avoiding damage. Michaels working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Michaels stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Michaels circles away from the clinch attempt.
Michaels closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Schmoe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Michaels on the ground. Michaels has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Michaels lands a big shot there that rocks Schmoe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Schmoe can't escape the position.
A nice elbow there by Michaels. Michaels thowing shots but they're missing. Michaels controlling his opponent. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Michaels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rakin Schmoe's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! No luck with that takedown attempt from Michaels. Michaels pushes Schmoe up against the cage in a clinch. Michaels is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Schmoe tries to score a body lock takedown but Michaels shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Michaels is trying to break the clinch but Schmoe is controlling him. Schmoe is trying to force a seperation but Michaels has the dominant position. Michaels misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Schmoe.
Schmoe is trying to maintain a safe position but Michaels gets an underhook and turns Schmoe into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Michaels manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Michaels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schmoe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Schmoe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Michaels seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Michaels tries to land a sweep but no joy. Schmoe being controlled here momentarily. Michaels pushes Schmoe off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Michaels decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Michaels is working for a kimura but Schmoe is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Michaels clinches. Schmoe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Michaels to keep the fight standing. Michaels working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Schmoe is trying to break the clinch but Michaels has him pressed against the cage. Michaels gets through Schmoe's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Rakin Schmoe's cut is getting worse. Michaels pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Michaels shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Schmoe is trying to defend but Michaels finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Michaels postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Schmoe to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Michaels fails with the takedown. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Michaels. Rakin Schmoe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Michaels. Michaels misses with an attempted mid kick.
Schmoe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Michaels's waist but Michaels gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schmoe off to one side. Michaels gets in close and instigates a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schmoe stops a takedown attempt from Michaels.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Schmoe tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Michaels avoids it. Michaels drops down looking for an ankle pick but Schmoe pulls his leg out and moves away.

And that's the end of the fight! Tyler Michaels comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Michaels has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
