PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chace Chacing (ranked 711 p4p, 636 weight class) and Logan Barrengarry (ranked 101 p4p, 95 weight class). Barrengarry has chosen Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Logan Barrengarry!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrengarry scores with a hook to the body. Chacing takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Chacing tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Barrengarry defends well and Chacing ends up having to push Barrengarry into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Chacing is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Barrengarry to keep the fight standing.
Chacing misses with a short punch on the inside.
Chacing throws a head punch that misses.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Barrengarry.
A hook to the body from Barrengarry.
Barrengarry lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Barrengarry cracks Chacing with a nice body shot.
Chacing is breathing heavily.
Chacing wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Chacing looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The fighters circle momentarily. Barrengarry darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Chace Chacing has been cut.

Barrengarry digs a good hook to Chacing's body.
A bone on bone clash there as Chacing blocks the leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Chacing misses the target.
Chacing with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barrengarry to score with a decent uppercut.
The fighters circling - Chacing throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Barrengarry sizes up Chacing with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Barrengarry drops his hands momentarily and Chacing takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Barrengarry paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Chacing forces Barrengarry back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Chacing takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Chacing tries to throw a body punch but Barrengarry avoids it by throwing Chacing back against the cage.

Chace Chacing's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Barrengarry pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Chacing throws a looping overhand right but Barrengarry ducks down to avoid it.
Chacing scores with a jab.
Barrengarry jabs Chacing to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Chacing on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barrengarry lands with a hook. Chacing tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Barrengarry counters with a nice right hand that sends Chacing toppling to the canvas! Chacing scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Barrengarry finish him?!

Chacing is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chacing keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Barrengarry.
Oh Chacing is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chacing takes a jab right on the kisser.
Barrengarry throws a hook to the side of Chacing's head but Chacing sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Barrengarry misses with a lunging right hand
and Chacing counters with a left and a right that stings Barrengarry.
Chacing seems to have got his legs back now.
Chacing swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Barrengarry.

Barrengarry goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Barrengarry fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Chacing is out of range.

Chacing shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chacing showed some decent athleticism there.
Barrengarry is looking for a sweep. Chacing is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Barrengarry is positioning himself well to prevent Chacing advancing to mount.
Barrengarry is looking to improve his position.

Chacing is fighting to break Barrengarry's control of his arms but Barrengarry is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Chacing seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Barrengarry seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Barrengarry throws out a loose jab but Chacing uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barrengarry cracks Chacing with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jeez, Chace Chacing's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Chacing crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Barrengarry - the referee stops the clock and Chacing gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Barrengarry. Chacing manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
