Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Griggs (ranked 1035 p4p, 1316 weight class) and Niek Mulder (ranked 148 p4p, 193 weight class). Griggs's entrance music is LL Cool J- Momma Said Knock You Out. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niek Mulder!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulder tries to close the distance and clinch but Griggs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mulder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Griggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mulder clinches.

Griggs scores with a one two! Mulder had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Niek Mulder has been cut.
Griggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mulder.
Griggs throws a quick counter kick to the body but Mulder avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griggs lands a jab to the nose.
Griggs looks to land a combination but Mulder avoids it well.
Mulder tries for a takedown but Griggs circles away easily
and Griggs counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Mulder clinches with his opponent.
Mulder has had enough of the clinch but Griggs keeps him there for the moment.
Griggs is trying to break the clinch but Mulder is controlling him.
Griggs wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mulder has him pressed against the cage.
Griggs breaks the clinch.
Mulder moves into the clinch successfully.

Griggs gets caught napping as Mulder dives in and scores a takedown. Griggs manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mulder tries to free his leg and advance position but Griggs is retaining full guard.
Griggs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Griggs looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Griggs scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mulder looks for the body kick but Griggs saw that one coming.
Griggs appears to be looking for a big counter.
Griggs misses with a double jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mulder moves into the clinch.
Griggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mulder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Griggs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mulder drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Griggs pushes Mulder off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mulder fails with the takedown
letting Griggs counter with a right hand.
Frankie Griggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niek Mulder.
Griggs fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mulder looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Griggs misses the jab.
Mulder tries to clinch up
and Griggs counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mulder thinking.
Mulder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Griggs defends it nicely.
Griggs seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mulder.
Griggs misses with a two punch combination.
Mulder tries to counter by closing the distance.
Mulder takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mulder tries for a takedown but Griggs circles away easily
and Griggs counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A solid body kick from Griggs.
Griggs drops Mulder with a beautiful combination! Mulder stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Griggs is looking for the KO!
Mulder is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mulder misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mulder is still on wobbly legs! Can Griggs finish him?
Mulder gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Griggs points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Mulder wakes up just in time to hear Griggs thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
